‘It is not the best lit place in the world. Meat hooks hang on the wall. A chart depicting a pig and its various meat cuts is pasted to a wall. We see the walls are some what weathered with bumps and scratches and the checkered tiles on the floor look old and grimy. A cartoon boar provides strange relief from the somber surroundings There is a row of pig corpses lining the back wall. A meat cleaver encrusted with blood has been firmly stuck into a large cutting table so that it sits upright. In the center of the table sits a pigs’ head wearing glasses. A butcher, skinny, unshaven and weary looking is standing in front of the cutting block. His sleeves are rolled up…….’
