Pamela Andrews in recital at the Australian National University

Soprano Pamela Andrews will present her Master of Music Graduation recital on Thursday 11th November at 2pm in Llewellyn Hall at the ANU School of Music, Childers St, Canberra. The concert, which also features pianist Alan Hicks and associate artists Ellen Malone (mezzo-soprano) and Bronwyn Douglas (mezzo-soprano) will feature an aria from Matthew Dewey’s work-in-progress opera about the Danish Astronomer Tycho Brahe. Edwin Paling to Premiere Violin Sonata in 2009

The work, which is currently being composed, will be given by the head of classical music at the University of Tasmania (and former concert master of the Royal Scottish National Orchestra) Professor Edwin Paling together with Dr. Arabella Teniswood-Harvey. This week the Melba Hall at the University of Melbourne will see the world premiere of Matthew Deweys Three Tuba Miniatures.
