Beyond the Neck – New Play about Life Since the Port Arthur Massacre

Matthew has been called in at the last minute to assist on the premiere of Tom Holloway’s new play about the Port Arthur incident, ‘Beyond The Neck’. The show, directed by Sydney based Director Iain Sinclair, features the talent of one of Australia’s most respected actors Ron Haddrick, together with the brilliant Tasmanian cast of Sara Cooper, Jonathan auf der Heide and Jemma Gates. Two Performances of ‘Flight and Reverie’ in Hawaii

New music for Gambas is not a thing we much about, but in August 2007 Australian Viol player and the leader of Backgammon Gambas, Brooke Green, premiered Matthew Dewey’s newly commissioned quartet ‘Flight and Reverie’ in two programs of all Australian Music at the ‘Pan-Pacific Gamba Gathering’ in Hawaii. Con Artists Hits the Road

This friday, Terrapin Puppet Theatre launches it’s new work ‘Con Artists’. The one-hour show, which follows the adventures of Max and Milly, embarks on a fifty show tour of Tasmania’s primary schools. The work, by Australian playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer, is directed by Robert Jarman, co-designed by Greg Methe and Roz Wren. It features a newly commissioned score written by Matthew Dewey. ‘Con Artists’ also has a theatre season which opens at the Peacock Theatre on Monday the 17th of September.
