Matthew has begun work on a new work for piano virtuoso Michael Kieren Harvey. The work will be programmed into a series of solo piano concerts which will feature at the UTAS Conservatorium of Music; Michael will subsequently make a recording of the piece. Two Performances of ‘Flight and Reverie’ in Hawaii

New music for Gambas is not a thing we much about, but in August 2007 Australian Viol player and the leader of Backgammon Gambas, Brooke Green, premiered Matthew Dewey’s newly commissioned quartet ‘Flight and Reverie’ in two programs of all Australian Music at the ‘Pan-Pacific Gamba Gathering’ in Hawaii. String Orchestra Commision for Hobart Chamber Orchestra

The Hobart Chamber Orchestra have commissioned a new work from Matthew Dewey to be played in two concerts featuring all new music in mid-2008.
