Spotify is a Poor Paymaster

On the issue of the music streaming website Spotify and how it’s “saving the music industry” [1] from financial loss resulting from piracy, I have a few comments to make. Moonflower Receives UK Premiere

My song “Moonflower”, which was written in 2011 for the “Concert for Queensland” has recently received it’s UK premiere at a recital given by Michael Lampard for the Ivor Gurney society at the Gloucester Cathedral. Michael, together with UK pianist Christopher Boodle, gave the performance in a program that included works by Ivor Gurney and Ian Venables. Little Suite for Strings

I’ve just recently finished work on a “Little Suite for Strings” which was commissioned by Grant Bewick for his Derwent Strings. It is a simple work in six movments for chamber strings that collects together six melodies of distinct character into an expression of pathos, fun, melancholy, tenderness and excitement.
