Con Artists Hits the Road

This friday, Terrapin Puppet Theatre launches it’s new work ‘Con Artists’. The one-hour show, which follows the adventures of Max and Milly, embarks on a fifty show tour of Tasmania’s primary schools. The work, by Australian playwright Finegan Kruckemeyer, is directed by Robert Jarman, co-designed by Greg Methe and Roz Wren. It features a newly commissioned score written by Matthew Dewey. ‘Con Artists’ also has a theatre season which opens at the Peacock Theatre on Monday the 17th of September.

New Quartet for Viols to be Performed in Hawaii

A newly commissioned quartet for Viol Consort written by Matthew Dewey with be premiered on the 3th of August at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Honolulu. The work, commissioned by ABC Classic FM producer and leader of Backgammon Gambas, Brooke Green, will present the work in a program of Australian composers. In a Pig’s Eye

Matthew has just completed the score for a short animation called ‘In a Pig’s Eye’ by Irish animator John Paul Molloy, the founder of Twisted Animator Productions and Irish audio specialist Michael Nestor (visit Michael Nestor’s website). The film, which features the voice of eminent Australian Actor (Barry Otto at IMDB), was developed through the School of Audio Engineering in Sydney and has been entered internationally in short film competitions.
