The large collaborative project I am involved with that was begun in 2012 through Lynchpin with PhD candidates Nick Roden and Rob Johnston (Profiles below), will continue in 2013 with some very exciting, soon to be announced developments. Art meets science in a new collaboration! I’m pleased to announce an exciting collaborative project that gives me the opportunity to work with a group of fantastic artists and scientists! I’ve just recently finished work on a “Little Suite for Strings” which was commissioned by Grant Bewick for his Derwent Strings. It is a simple work in six movments for chamber strings that collects together six melodies of distinct character into an expression of pathos, fun, melancholy, tenderness and excitement. I look forward to the premiere coming up a bit later on in 2012!
